our story
"No Time Like Teatime"
My love of Afternoon Tea started when I made a friend from England. One day while she was reminiscing about what she missed most from home she told me about "Afternoon Tea". From the first Afternoon Tea party we hosted together, I was hooked.
When mom was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, Teatime became a welcomed escape from cancer. It transported us out of the whirlwind of cancer into a place of calm, joy and serenity. I want to share Teatime with others who could use a moment of light in dark times.
Over the years I have invited numerous friends to Teatime and almost every guest would ask the same question: "So, how do we do this?"I wanted to be able to answer that question. So I decided to travel to various parts of the British Commonwealth, including England, to learn as much as I could about an authentic Afternoon Tea and the various Teatime experiences. Now, I want to share that knowledge by bringing the Teatime experince and etiquette education to Lawrenceville and the Metro Atlanta.
Teatime is something I love to share with friends or enjoy alone with a good book. It has been a welcome escape from life's challenges and an opportunity to strengthen the bonds of my relationships. Give it a try. I'm sure that you will enjoy Teatime too.
My mother Gwen"dolyn" was an artist, author and all-around free spirit. She always encouraged me to enjoy the sprinkles of life. This company is named in her honor.
